We surpassed birth weight!

It's a big day! JD hit and surpassed his birth weight yesterday - he's growing like a weed now. I guess that is a matter of speaking - only a preemie parent would get excited about 2lb, 6 oz. Cole will probably hit his birth weight today. They are getting more calories now in their feedings which is helping them gain weight.

We had a few changes with Baby Cole yesterday - they did a chest xray on him to find out why he is not able to wean from his Oxygen as fast as JD and they found some adema around his lungs (fluid) so they started him on lasix. This will allow the fluid to leave his body and make breathing easier for him. His reflux is much better and both boys are eating like champs!

I am finally feeling more comfortable with their new placement in the NICU. I think it just took a few days to adjust to the change. Any change throws me for a loop these days. The baby that is in the room with them is much better than she was before and is not a risk for them, as I once suspected.

We haven't taken any photos for a few days (shame on me) so I'll try to get some new ones today. They are just changing so much. I can hardly believe we're coming up on 3 weeks now! Until later...
