Daddy's Boys

Here are a few updated pics from our visit today; Daddy doesn't always get to hold the boys since Mommy holds them every day during the day so it's extra special for both Dad and the boys when he gets to hold them - usually on the weekends when we have plenty of time to hang out as a family.

The boys are doing well today; both had some weight gain last night and aside from a few changes in their meds, all is about the same. As I always say, no news is good news and we like boring reports these days...that means that they are doing well.

It's been a bit more gloomy around NICU than usual - our little girl roommate that we had left yesterday to be transferred to Hopkins. She needs some special surgery on her eyes and she has a stage 4 brain hemorrhage. She was born many weeks before our little guys and has had quite a struggle - but she is one tough little gal. Our prayers are with her and her family as they continue to forge ahead with Baby Sophia. With any luck, after her surgery, they will transfer her back to AAMC NICU. It's quite a hike to go to Hopkins each day. The NICU is not as full as it has been since we got there - there have been lots of babies discharged lately which is a good thing. Although there are still many sick babies there, it's always a good thing to see babies finally get to go home. We feel very fortunate so far that our little guys are doing well - seeing the other families there who struggle with their babies is really tough. Thanks to all of the love and prayers surrounding us, we feel extra lucky!

Have a good weekend all!

Kate- You know Sophie has a Grade 4 brain bleed. You can give your roomie Sophia's mom our email address, I would be happy to talk with her. We are doing so well, it might be nice for her to hear a good story about positive things you can do to help!! dlkritzman@yahoo.com
