Well, almost another week down. Have I mentioned how thankful I am to be passing these weeks at home? Only about a million times, I know. It's been a very quiet weekend ~ not much going on; not many visitors this weekend. Although I always love to see a smiling face, it's also nice to have some quiet time. Both sets of parents are away for the weekend so it's just C. & I.
Unfortunately, C. is under the weather and fighting a fever. I feel terrible that I cannot be a help to him - and he feels so yucky but has to continue to wait on me. It's just not my nature not to be able to help him but there isn't much I can do. And frankly, it's not a great idea to be around him anyway - that is the last thing we need is to have me get sick. Personally, I think that he's just run himself into the ground and isn't getting enough rest. He's stressed with work and with what we have going on here at home and he's not taking very good care of himself. We have this "chat" about every 3 months about how he needs to slow down and take better care of himself. I need to convince him to start stock piling sleep now ~ he's forgetting what his going to happen to his sleep in a few short months.
So, speaking of the parents being away for the weekend, Mom and Dad are away celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary. What a milestone!! So awesome. I'm so proud of them for reaching the 40 year mark. Since they canceled their vacation plans to Breckenridge in light of our situation (I'm forever indebted to both of them for not leaving), I am so glad that they at least took the weekend to do something fun together to celebrate. It warms my heart.
Boy, Sunday morning tv pretty much sucks. I have found that aside from the movie I watched yesterday, FAMILY STONE (cute movie, BTW), the tv has been on MTV most of the weekend. Call me crazy but I'm totally addicted to Laguna Beach and The Hills. Mind you, this happened before bed rest. But all that seems to be on this weekend is Cheyenne - like hours and hours of it! She's that upcoming young hottie 16 year old singer who is traveling across country with her parents in a tour bus. I really just need to turn off the tv I guess. I refuse to fall into the "tv trap" while home here for so many weeks. Gotta keep the brain stimulated.
I've gotten through a few good books over the last few days. Reading is such a great escape. James Patterson has taken me through some of my toughest times over the last few years! Cathy Kelly also has written a few good chick books - been reading those too and it's a strange comfort to read about other people's issues rather than concentrating on your own. Know what I mean?
OK, enough Sunday rambling. Until tomorrow...
