Sono update

Here's the latest. Our perinatologist came in late today for a growth sono - Baby B is now 1 pound, 4 oz; we didn't get a size on Baby C but he's probably very similar or maybe even slightly bigger. The biggest concern now is with Babies A&B so we were concentrating mostly on them.

Baby A is lagging way behind and only measuring about 20 weeks in size; he is still growing for now and has a heartbeat and some breathing activity. However, his fluid is still not there which means that he likely will not survive when he is born. And if he did, depending on when they are born, he would have severe difficulties. The only positive part about the fact that he is still living is that he is helping his brothers by continuing to live and not adversely affecting the other babies; if and when his heart stops beating, he can greatly affect his identical twin, Baby B, which would warrant an immediate delivery or loss of Baby B as well. That would of course depend on when that would happen, how far along I was and if I was still not in labor. That is a decision that we hope we never have to face and we hope will be made for us, based on the activity of the babies themselves.

For now, we will continue to pray for all of the boys and hope that whatever is best for them will be. The longer I can hold out, the better for all. And the longer Baby A can hold out, the better for all. Until something happens to Baby A in utero, we will continue to press on each day.

As sad as I am over the iminent loss of Baby A, it sounds like he's a fighter and is working miracles for his baby brothers. That's my boy.

They say that God only gives you what you can handle - boy does he think a lot of you. FYI - Martin didn't have any fluid either - he lived an hour after birth (almost 31 wks). Still praying for all of you.

Love, Tina

You are in my thoughts and in my prayers. What a wonderful little boy team you have . . . still all in there working together as a team. Please do not waste your energy to respond to this message. That energey is for your boys, but I just wanted you to know that we are all out here praying for you and all your boys.

Hi, sweetie!

Just like a brother to be already watching out for his other 2 siblings!! And they are just as sweet as their mama already...I wouldn't expect any less!

Thinking of you!

Love and HOPE,
