MOMs - Mom's of Multiples

The multiples resources here in town are endless - I'm learning this every day. I joined the local MOMs group a few weeks after I found out I was expecting trips. And then never heard anything for quite a while. Now I'm starting to hear from so many people in this group and it's so comforting! Last week I heard from a triplet Mom of girls who called to welcome me to the club and make sure I knew I was now a "real" member. She put me in touch with another new Mom of triplet boys who are just 9 weeks old. We chatted that day for over an hour. Our stories are identical - she and her husband went through all of the fertility stuff that we went through, and she has two identicals and one non-identical from her 2nd fresh IVF cycle. She saw all of the same doctors that I am seeing - and she made it! Her boys were born at almost 34 weeks and they did great. Although she never went on bedrest, she had lots of problems throughout the pregnancy so true to form, another eventful triplet pregnancy for the books. I've come to realize that it's very rare to have an uneventful triplet pregnancy.

This morning I got yet another mail from a different Mom's member who has matched me up with a "big sister" named Kathleen who has triplets that are just over 2. I'm not sure if they are all boys, all girls or mixed. But I can't wait to talk to her. I feel so lucky to have these resources; I can't wait to someday be able to return the favor for some new lucky Mom of triplets. I've heard so many wonderful stories about the support of this group so feel so honored to be a part of it!
