I can hardly believe that the boys are 6 weeks old. WOW. They have changed so much. They both had a good day today and are growing well. We spent lots of time together yesterday and today. I got to Kangaroo with both of them for a few hours yesterday and it was wonderful. I have missed doing that since they are in clothes now so it was a special treat for all of us. Yesterday was a tough day, for obvious reasons so it was nice to be able to spend time with the boys and be thankful that they are here with us; they are such big (little) blessings to us. It's so awesome to be able to walk into thier room in NICU and just pick them up and hug and kiss them. We've waited so long for this day!
Still not sure if they are really going to start bottles this week or not - we're waiting to see. Cole has weaned down on his air flow in his canula now which is great. The next step is that they will take it away and see how he does. The bigger he gets, the better he gets with his respiration. Slowly but surely he's able to hold his own. Both boys are quite little characters - I have included some photos from today that show their most recent changes. Note JD's little thighs and cheeks! Soon we will be able to see them without tubes and tape on their faces.
The first two photos are of JD...

And here's Cole...

Kate,
Oh my goodness-how adorable. Boy, do they change daily. Glad to see JD and Cole are doing so well. Keep up with the good reports, guys. You'll be going home real soon! Can't wait to meet you both when you do!!
