Updated Stats - 5 Weeks and 2 Days Old

I finally remembered today to ask for some updated stats on the boys. As of 10/3/06:

Cole
Length: 14" (up 2" since birth)
Weight: 2lb, 8.83 oz
Head circum: 11"

JD
Length: 16" (up 2.5" since birth)
Weight: 3lb, 6.56 oz (he gained 1 more ounce tonight)
Head circum: 11.5"

Both boys had a very quiet day today. Their new OG tube placement is working! The reflux is definitely better and their episodes have really decreased. There is talk of starting them both on bottle feeds next Wednesday to see how things go. Very exciting. We spent lots of good time with the boys today and even got to read a new book together.

I took this picture of Cole today because they put booties on him for the first time. He looks rather irritated, doesn't he? He's so cute though - I can barely stand it!

Kate- Cole is adorable.

I was just going through all of our preemie clothes to give to a local mom here who just had preemie twins.

I stared in awe at the clothes that were once too big to even put on the girls, and then, when they were wearing them, hung off of them with their little sleeves rolled way up.

Back then, the clothes even looked big to me off their bodies. I remember my husband looking at 6 month clothes and commenting on how they would probably wear them when they were 2.

Well, now the preemie clothes look small- and the 6 month clothes don't fit them anymore!

You are on your way!!! Bottle feeding is so much fun. Good luck!

Totally adorable! When Cole looks at this picture years down the road.just tell him that he was the trend setter in the NICU. Really so very cute, they both are.
