Not much new here today - everything is bumping along well and the same. Might get a wheelchair ride today which would be the highlight of my day. It's pretty hot and muggy out so probably won't go outside for long but just to ride around the hospital outside of my room will be a treat.
The boys look good today. Hope the weekend goes fast - usually they are much slower than during the week. Having a couple visitors today so hopefully that will make the day pass quickly! We're approaching the 27 week mark, going into the 28th week. On Monday it will be 4 weeks since I arrived. Nobody here can believe we're still here and hanging on.
Yesterday a fellow triplet Mom stopped by that I had spoken to a few times before I came to the hospital. She had triplet boys about 3 months ago; there was a story in the local paper back in May when her boys were born and her story was identical to mine ~ we have/had the exact same doctors (fertility & OB) so she was great to talk to. She had a set of identicals and one fraternal, just like we have. She and I got hooked up through the local MOM's group (Mothers of Multiples, Annapolis) and she and a few other girls have been fantastic; they have been trying to keep up with my progress and have been so supportive. Anyway, apparently there is a tradition out there among the triplet Mom's who go on bedrest - they bring each other Ben & Jerry's ice cream! She walked in yesterday with two pints of B&J and two B&J ice cream bars - how awesome is that? She was on her way over to the NICU to drop some of her boys preemie clothes that they have outgrown so she made a pitstop at my room. It was the first time we had met in person and she was such a gem. Needless to say, we all pigged out on pizza and Ben & Jerry's last night ~ the boys loved it!
