As all mothers do, I often call the kids short nick names throughout the day. Most times, I'm not even thinking about it and the names just come out. My usual for Cole happens to be "sweet pea". Yes, I know, not the most masculine name for a little boy but I'm his Mom so I can call him whatever I want...
In any case, the last few weeks have been quite funny with this. If the boys get into trouble over something, Cole will look at me eye to eye and say (as I'm scolding him), "Hi Sweet Pea". It's the cutest, most innocent voice - and of course, it makes me laugh and crumble into a million pieces. Think I'm in trouble in the years to come? He's got my number...

That's ok Kate, I have a Sweet Pea and a Chrissy...how about that for having two boys, and mine are 8 and 5
