Pobbies

POBBIES - the "toddlerese" word in our house for POTTY's

The potties are a hit - they have absolutely NO idea what they are for, in fact, right now, they are for stuffing as many toys, blankets, books, feet etc. as they can get in them. Apparently they also work well as hats.
It's the first thing they ask for when they wake up in the morning. I guess that's a good routine to get into eh? We're a long way away from using them the proper way - but we'll have fun with them in the meantime. Like most members of the male species (sorry guys), they are infatuated with "anything" toilet related. Gone are the days of using the restroom in peace....

Jesse used to call it "the hottie". When he would tell us he wanted to "pee on the hottie", it would totally crack us up.

When we first gave him a little potty, he would eat his cheerios out of it!

I do remember a time before kids when I thought the diaper period is going to suck but as soon as they become potty trained it will be much better. Now I know the opposite it true, in the diaper period, you just needed to carry extra diapers, now you need to deal with finding bathrooms in a hurry, fear of foreign pottys and the notion that a urinal cake is actually a toy.

Good luck, fair winds and following seas. Let us know if you need inspiration or advice.
